• 10 September: Sunduan (La Huerta, Paranaque). The girls of the town are escorted round the houses by young men carrying parasols, who serenade them.
• 21 September: Thanksgiving Day, commemorating the proclamation of the New Society in 1972 (public holiday).
• Third weekend: Fiesta of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia (Naga City), an extraordinary river procession in which men are taken part
